چکیده

Two new lycoctonine type C19-diterpenoid alkaloids, swatinine-A (1), and swatinine-B (2), along with four known C19-diterpenoid alkaloids, foresticine (3), neoline (4), delvestine (5), and chasmanine (6), were isolated from the aerial parts of the Aconitum laeve Royle. The structures of compounds 1 and 2 were deduced on the basis of spectroscopic techniques (EI-MS, HREI-MS, H NMR, C NMR, HMQC, and HMBC). Biological activities like inhibition of the multifunctional copper-containing enzyme tyrosinase, anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory have also been carried out for all the compounds and reported herein. The structure-activity relationships for the inhibition of the enzyme tyrosinase by the compounds have been discussed.

Diterpenoid alkaloids of Aconitum vulparia Rchb.

From the roots of Aconitum vulparia Rchb., collected in Prüm (Germany), a new norditerpenoid alkaloid, named alexhumboldtine, has been isolated along with the known norditerpenoid alkaloids lappaconitine, anthranoyllycoctonine, lycoctonine, puberaconitine, ajacine, and septentriodine. The structure of alexhumboldtine was established on the basis of 1H, 13C, DEPT, homonuclear 1H COSY, NOESY, HSQ...

Constituents of high altitude Himalayan herbs. part XX. A C-19 diterpenoid alkaloid from Aconitum balfourii

Aconitm balfourii (Renunculaceae) is an important highly prized herb found in the Uttaranchal Himalaya in India. It has been frequently used in Ayurvedic systems of medicines since long time but unfortunately it is not taken up of for its systematic chemical investigation after 1928 when an alkaloid was reported to be present in its roots. In our program to search useful high altitude Himalayan...

In Vivo and In Vitro Metabolites from the Main Diester and Monoester Diterpenoid Alkaloids in a Traditional Chinese Herb, the Aconitum Species

Diester diterpenoid alkaloids (DDAs), such as aconitine (AC), mesaconitine (MA), and hypaconitine (HA), are both pharmacologically active compounds and toxic ingredients in a traditional Chinese herb, the Aconitum species. Many DDA metabolism studies have been performed to explore mechanisms for reducing toxicity in these compounds and in Aconitum species extracts for safe clinical administrati...

Two new diterpenoid alkaloids, beiwusines A and B, from Aconitum kusnezoffii.

Two new atisine-type diterpenoid alkaloids, beiwusine A (1) and B (2), have been isolated from the roots of Aconitum kusnezoffii Reichb. Their structures were established on the basis of spectroscopic data. Beiwusines A and B are the first examples of atisine-type diterpenoid alkaloids having a hydroxyl group at C-1. In addition, one known diterpenoid alkaloid spiramine H (3) has been isolated.

Navicularines A-C: New diterpenoid alkaloids from Aconitum naviculare and their cytotoxic activities.

Three new bisditerpenoid alkaloids, navicularines A-C (1-3), and three known ones (4-6), were isolated from the ground parts of Aconitum naviculare. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods. All the new compounds were tested against five cell lines (HL-60, SMMC-7721, A-549, MCF-7, SW480). It was found that navicularine B exhibited certain cytotoxic activities in vitro, with IC5...
